This section is about what happens after that very special day has arrived and you have passed your driving test and earned a full driving licence.
You may like to consider Motorway driving tuition. This need not be under pressure and obviously there is now no test to pass but it allows me to pass on some tips for getting used to driving on a motorway under completely different conditions to driving in Southampton. I’d suggest a two-hour lesson for this, as there is a lot to cover and we could travel quite a distance in that time.
In addition to the Motorway driving tuition, please look at the Pass Plus course.
. This course runs for a minimum of six hours and covers the following topics.
- Town driving
- All-Weather driving
- Out of Town driving and rural roads
- Night driving
- Dual Carriageways
- Motorways
Pass Plus performance is assessed by me as an instructor so there is no external test in this course. I offer a discount to pupils that I have taught who take up the Pass Plus option and there may be a saving on the cost of insurance to Pass Plus Certificate holders,. If a pupil has taken motorway tuition with me then this will count towards the Pass Plus course.
These can be as long or as short as is necessary, they are for the person who has passed their test but perhaps time has passed and they feel they could benefit from some further training and assistance. Alternatively maybe they qualify to hold a full UK licence but learned in another country and would like to get more familiar with the way that things work here.
